…that’s how deep in nasty stuff I am, coursework (well, life too, depending on my mood)-wise.

In a last-ditch attempt to organize my coursework and start setting deadlines, I’ve listed out all the things I have to do, organized by creature. It’s even color-coded, so the teachers can tell at a glance how much trouble I am in.

WP2.7 Coming Tomorrow + Blavatar

WP2.7 coming tomorrow. New favicon of the site is a cake (it doesn’t show up as a cake in my bookmarks toolbar though). I like cake.

Bah

Because I am an egotistical idiot who’s not particularly happy over having missed 26 minutes edit: almost the whole of RoTK trying to redo my references properly in an essay (that and my painting is not drying)…

This is to mollify myself. It doesn’t even compare with the stat graphs of some of my friends – that is, if they even have stat graphs.

On some admin-related fronts, no more ugly blank avatars hooray! I have enabled Identicons, which are mathematically generated random avatars (something like fractals) that somehow remain consistent for each commenter. A bit interesting that they’re called Identicons though – makes me think of Camazotz.

WP2.5: Fun Stuff

Those looking for the Mari WIP illustration, it’s at the bottom of the post.

Seems like we all here at WP.com have been ported over to WP2.5, a couple of days after its release.

The first thing I noticed that the button edges were finally rounded lol.

It’s not bad. Not bad at all. It’s a lot lighter, and they’ve changed the predominant color from dark blue to a cleaner light aqua. Design-wise, pretty much everything has been overhauled.

I suppose my main grouse with this new design is how it doesn’t make full use of my screen real estate. Click to enlarge screenshot.

I wish we could rearrange stuff through drag-and-drop. It’s really bugging me how the new interface doesn’t maximize my screen real estate at all. Everything is clumped to the left.

But anyway, the changes -

The topbar, instead of being a bunch of categories is now organized into Write, Manage, Design, Comments and Upgrades.

They finally improved the uploads system. Hooray! You can now simultaneously upload a bunch of stuff (a great relief) and it can automagically create galleries of your media, which is great if I happen to scan a bunch of stuff during CCA and decide to artdump. The post/page editor and the uploads manager has been merged. Uploads now take the form of an “Add Media” set of icons at the top of the editor next to Visual/HTML viewmode tabs, and the uploads manager comes up in a Lightbox window.

What I don’t like is that once you start a new paragraph in the editor, it jumps back to the top of the page so I can’t see my full editor window.

Oh, and a Mari. Yes its screwed. Yes I’m too lazy to fix it. There was another one but I left the file at school. I seem to be drawing a lot of Mari recently. I need to learn how to draw Alice and draw moemoe Aya, darnit.
