Been playing Luminous Arc the past couple of days (well, not all that much since I don’t get that much DS time anyways).
- Awesome art.
- Plot seems a bit formulaic (“We’re specially trained kids who are going to save the world because we have awesum powers!”)
- Standard character cast (so far): Hero, Hero’s sibling, “save me I’m so weak” girl, ninja tsundere, witch tsundere, outgoing showoff guy, cool mentor guy etc
- I wish they kept the original Jap voice acting – Cecille sounds, uh, weird and I want to kill Theo. He sucks. Saki’s voice is all right though, but I can’t say the same about her character. Cold ninja tsunderes? We’ve seen them enough already.
- How does Lucia move her arms if she’s got that blue thing connecting the sleeves?
Somewhat interesting is the “intermission” feature which lets you talk to your battle comrades after you finish the battle. It kind of reminds me of dating sims heh, except it progresses really slowly and there doesn’t seem to be any event scenes until you max out something like an affection meter (based on what I’ve seen on Youtube and read elsewhere)
I’m trying to get Lucia (who I drew a picture of yesterday and then one more this afternoon – I need more Copics) and maybe one of the other witches.
